This tournament is a kind of a role-model for an open-minded event, because we integrate other minority football-teams (like the deaf, foreign, unemployed, former drug users) and state institutions like the Government of Cologne, the Police and teams from media firms (TV and Radio Stations, Newspapers and so on...) and also some typical teams from the region. These are all recreational football teams, brought together for the pleasure of the game and friendship.

Our CTC-conception is to encourage all groups of society to come in direct contact with gay and lesbian people via sports and fun. And it works!

So far we have only a few gay teams (Cream-Team-Cologne of SC Janus e.V. as host of the football-tournament and the Anyway-Hotshots in Cologne, AufRuhr Bochum in Essen or Vorspiel and Hertha Junxx in Berlin) in this tournament and some more lesbian-teams (SC Janus, Seitenwechsel, Wild Bunch, Weiberkram, Vorspiel...). We want to promote tolerance, so we have to make some real concrete offers.

All in all we have tournaments with 24 or 50 teams on 4-10 grass fields, huge spaces for the Beergardens and some amazing show-programs in the evening. As always, there will be held in the afternoon the funny-game with prominent people, the award-ceremony for the "Come-Together-HEART" and the "Moment of Silence".

This year alone we had in Cologne (very bad weather!) more than 8.000 spectators and earn around 7.000,- Euros. More than 100 Volunteers are the secret of our success as well as a sponsor-pool with Coca-Cola, NetCologne, PSD - Bank, Endemol, Best Western...!

Cologne: All together we have had more than 98.000 spectators (40.000 in the last 3 years alone) and we have earned for HIV prevention and gay and lesbian social-projects (since 2005 as a benefit-event for Beratungszentum RUBICON and Jugendzentrum anyway) nearly 73.000 Euros (around 143.000,- deutschmarks).

Since 1995 the CTC-Orga-Team with CTC-founder Andreas Stiene has organized this huge "ALL-SOCIETY-FOOTBALL-EVENT" in Cologne and transported the idea to Berlin (organized by elledorado e.V.) and Essen (organized by AIDS-Hilfe Essen e.V.) in a very similar conception.

It´s also really great fun to be there as a spectator and to join this day full of entertainment. There are a lot of good impressions and photos on this site.
